Before every repair, auto service managers face the question: which calibration method will need to be used? Static or dynamic calibration \u2014 and which method is more accurate?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The truth is that calibration technicians do not choose the calibration method themselves \u2014 it is determined by the vehicle manufacturer, and accordingly the calibration software tells technicians which calibration procedure must be used on a specific vehicle. Nevertheless, we would like to compare both calibration methods, their strengths and weaknesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is ADAS calibration accuracy?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ADAS calibration accuracy determines how closely a vehicle&#8217;s sensors \u2014 especially the front camera and radars \u2014 are aligned with the manufacturer&#8217;s specifications. Precise adjustment ensures that systems such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)<\/li><li>Forward Collision Warning (FCW)<\/li><li>Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">operate within their intended parameters. Even minor sensor axis misalignments can cause delayed warnings or an incorrect system response.
